Terms & Conditions

By using WASIATY you agree to the following terms.

Last updated: 12 October 2026

This page describes how the platform actually works as implemented, and is prepared for review and sign-off by a legal professional before public launch. Some clauses (operating entity, governing law, refund policy, data-retention periods) are deliberately absent because they require official information from the platform owner.

Nature of the service

WASYH is a digital platform for storing wills, personal messages and files, and for organising their release to the people a user chooses, under conditions that user sets. It is not a notary, not a law firm, and not a substitute for the official procedures required in your country.

Creating an account

An account requires an email address and a password meeting a minimum strength. Passwords are stored as argon2id hashes and are never kept in plain text anywhere. Two-step verification (TOTP) is optional and can be enabled from security settings.

  • You are responsible for the accuracy of the email you register with and for protecting your credentials.
  • Accounts are personal and must not be shared.
  • Registration may be limited to a pre-approved list during early launch stages.

Your responsibility for content

The content you write or upload is yours alone, and you are responsible for its accuracy and lawfulness and for choosing beneficiaries and trusted contacts carefully. The platform does not review will content or verify it.

Content types and storage limits

The platform supports text, images and documents, plus audio and video recordings depending on your plan. Each plan has a maximum number of wills, beneficiaries and storage space, and these limits are enforced by the server rather than merely hidden in the interface. Current details are shown on the pricing page.

  • Files whose real content does not match their declared type are rejected by magic-byte inspection.
  • Exceeding the storage limit blocks new uploads and never deletes an existing file.

Plans and payment

Paid plans are purchased with a single payment, with no automatic renewal and no recurring monthly subscription. Each plan's details, price and service period are shown on the pricing page and on the checkout page before purchase is completed.

Service period and its end

Paid plans have a defined service period starting from the date of purchase, shown before payment. When that period ends, the account automatically returns to the free plan's limits; all of your wills, messages and files remain stored and accessible, and you may renew or purchase a new plan at any time. You are notified before the period ends and when it ends.

Beneficiaries and access permissions

You set an independent permission for each beneficiary on each item: view only, stream, download, or full access. Adding someone as a beneficiary or a contact does not by itself grant them any access before the release conditions are met.

Release conditions

No content reaches any beneficiary before the release policy you chose is satisfied. Available policies include release after verified death, release after a delay you set, or a later manual action. Death verification goes through human review and never happens automatically on receipt of a report.

Prohibited uses

The platform must not be used to store or publish unlawful content, to impersonate others, to attempt access to an account or content you do not own, or to disrupt or security-test the service without prior written permission.

Suspension or termination

An account may be temporarily locked or suspended where there is suspicious activity or a breach of these terms, and every such action is recorded in the audit log. Suspension blocks sign-in and does not delete content.

Deleting your account

You may request deletion at any time from the privacy centre. The request starts a grace period during which you can cancel it, then executes: your email and phone are anonymised, your password and two-step verification are invalidated, and all sessions are revoked. Please note that will content and files are not erased at this step — this is deliberate, so that an in-progress release to a beneficiary or an existing legal hold is not silently invalidated. See the privacy policy for retention details.

Intellectual property

You retain all rights in the content you create or upload. The platform's own elements (name, logo, design and software) remain owned by the platform operator.

Limits of liability

The platform makes reasonable efforts to store your content and release it according to your choices, but does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. It is not responsible for legal consequences arising from content written by a user, nor for actions taken by external parties (social platforms, banks, official bodies) regarding a deceased person's accounts.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated as the service or regulatory requirements change. The last-updated date appears at the top of this page, and users are notified of material changes.
